Pépé Abed Museum
Local legend Youssef Abed started a double tourist venture in 1962 by opening his own museum adjacent to a seafood restaurant he owns called the Byblos Fishing Club, or Pépé Abed. It was once frequented by the likes of Brigitte Bardot and Said Akl. The museum, which is supervised by UNESCO, features his personal collection of antiquities in an 800-year-old residence on the old port of Byblos, where the views are the finest and the catch of the day is the freshest.
