Waterfront District

The Waterfront District overlooks Saint George Bay and Mount Lebanon. It’s still primarily in a development phase, but when fully completed, it will contain two marinas, a waterside city park, a corniche and quayside promenades.

A pedestrian spine extending from Zaytuna Bay is open for walking, jogging, and cycling, and is a popular destination for locals looking for a tranquil getaway from the city.

The Beirut Exhibition Center and the Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center (BIEL) are already open, offering event space and art shows.

In 2012, the Waterfront District was the site of a huge mass held by Pope Benedict XVI; the culmination of his three-day visit to Lebanon, with an estimated 350,000 in attendance.

The Waterfront District will soon host an enormous variety of attractions. For details, read more here
